Northcote Town Hall’s Kris Kringle Night Market returns this November and December for another special limited season. The market features only the very best locally designed and handcrafted items, direct from maker to you.

Northcote Town Hall’s heritage hall provides a perfect background for this festive event with over 60 indoor stalls selling products including fashion, textiles, skin products, plants, jewellery, ceramics and food gifts. You can bring the family and make a night of it each week with live entertainment, a licensed bar, food and free face painting for the kids on site.

Come and find that unique gift this Christmas.

The Wheeler Centre Presents Radiotopia and Beyond with Julie Shapiro
Tuesday, 5 December 2017
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

You might think of Julie Shapiro as a master listener. She was a co-founder and the artistic director of the highly respected Third Coast International Audio Festival, and spent time in Australia as executive producer of ABC RN’s Creative Audio Unit. Today, she’s the executive producer of Radiotopia – Boston-based podcast network home to 99% Invisible, Ear Hustle and Song Exploder. She visits Melbourne this December to share insights from her long career in listening – and to discuss collaboration, reinvention and the long view in the era of the podcast, with host Sophie Black.

In the second part of this event, Julie Shapiro will lend us her ears and a judge of So You Think You Can Pod – the Wheeler Centre’s search for new, audible ideas – alongside Audiocraft executive director Kate Montague, Australian podcast producer Eric George (Bowraville, Ballarat’s Children) and Wheeler Centre senior digital editor Jon Tjhia.
