JOON NO'S TAEKWONDO
Taekwondo is a modern Olympic sport and traditional art form that originates from Korea. It is also the most practiced Martial Art in the world and boasts over 80 million practitioners.
At Joon No's Taekwondo our mission is to establish life champions by teaching the core values of respect, dedication, self-control, passion and positive outlook through an environment that is fun, challenging and progressive.

MINDFUL MEDITATION with Sally Polmear BA DipEd
A powerful tool for daily living.
Through Mindful Mediation you will learn to:
rest your body and calm your mind
increase concentration and clarity
nurture inner stillness and peacefulness.

Sally Polmear is an experienced teacher who has been practising and teaching mediation for fifteen years. Sally has taught classes privately, for the general public, and for organisations including VicHealth, Cancer Council, Bush Heritage, Nossal Institute for Global Health and the National Australia Bank.

Using simple techniques, you will learn to observe thoughts, feelings and emotions without them being a distraction. By remaining focused in the moment, you will develop a fresh and flexible approach in your relationships, work and daily activities.

Through Mindful Meditation you can take the opportunity to rest and balance your body and mind, and to meet each day with renewed appreciation and vitality.

Seven Week Mindful Meditation courses
The course focuses on developing meditation practice and mindfulness in daily living to reduce stress and anxiety, fostering well-being and clarity of mind.
An email is sent after each class with a summary of the session including suggested meditation and mindfulness practices for each week.

Mindful Meditation Workshop:
This workshop is designed to give you space for pausing quietly to rest the body and calm the mind. The morning is spent enjoying guided meditation and mindfulness practices. No previous experience required.

Date: Saturday, 3 June, 2017
Time:10-1pm
Venue: Northcote Town Hall
Cost: $85 full/75 concession (Health card holder, pensioner, full-time student)

Please note that morning tea is included and forms part of the mindfulness practice. Individual dietary requirements taken into consideration.

St Martins is committed to providing access to our programs for all young people.

Play Up!

Play Up will explore imagination and
creative role play through workshops that involve costume and character, music and song, movement and dancing and words and writing.
Workshops are open to parents for the last
15 minutes so you can see your child in action all term!

9-12 Year Olds
Get out There!

Our 9-12 year old classes at Newport and Northcote AND South Yarra will respond each term to an excursion to visit an exhibition or event.
Participants respond to their urban adventures with music, text and movement to create their own original theatre each week.
Workshops are open to parents for the last 15 minutes so you can see your child in action all term!
Workshop Times: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4.30 6.30
Cost: $320 plus membership

Teenage Ensemble
St Martins Teenage Performers Ensemble: A selected group of teenage performers who will train intensively together throughout three terms exploring performance techniques through a central text and approaches to body, voice and movement. Each term ends in a performance outcome on the last Saturday of term at St Martins by all three ensembles.
The Teenage ensemble at Northcote will be accepting new members in Term 2. If you or someone you know are a dedicated and passionate theatre maker between the ages of 13 and 17 this is the perfect opportunity! Please call or email the office to have a chat with one of our staff and we will send you n application form.
