Northcote Town Hall is a growing venue, with potential for a multitude of activities and events that are constantly changing and meeting the needs of the community.

Please visit our Events Calendar which has information about up-coming events, conferences, theatre and music performances.

Listed below are some groups that are currently hiring rooms at the Northcote Town Hall.

MINI MAESTROS
An Australian Music Program for young children aged 6 month to 5 years old. Activities include singing, dancing, playing percussion instruments.

Starting back on 6th February and finishing 12th December
Classes: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Mornings
Prices: $15.50 per class (6-15 months and 1-2 year classes), $18.60 per class (2-3 years and 4-5 years classes)
Prices do not include the required students' equipment

AUSTREK STAR TREK FAN CLUB
Join us for rumours, gossip, mayhem, games and generally lots of fun with all things SCI-FI, particularly Star Trek.

First Saturday of the month.
2.00pm - 5.00pm
COST: $7.50

ST MARTINS YOUTH ARTS CENTRE
St Martins is committed to providing access to our programs for all young people.
Please contact us at the office on 9867 2477 if you have any access requirements.

5-8- Year Olds
Play Up!

Play Up will explore imagination and
creative role play through workshops that involve costume and character, music and song, movement and dancing and words and writing.
Workshops are open to parents for the last
15 minutes so you can see your child in action all term!
Workshop Times: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4.30 6pm
Cost: $300 plus membership

9-12 Year Olds
Get out There!

Our 9-12 year old classes at Newport and Northcote AND South Yarra will respond each term to an excursion to visit an exhibition or event.
Participants respond to their urban adventures with music, text and movement to create their own original theatre each week.
Workshops are open to parents for the last 15 minutes so you can see your child in action all term!
Workshop Times: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4.30 6.30
Cost: $320 plus membership

Teenage Ensemble
St Martins Teenage Performers Ensemble: A selected group of teenage performers who will train intensively together throughout three terms exploring performance techniques through a central text and approaches to body, voice and movement. Each term ends in a performance outcome on the last Saturday of term at St Martins by all three ensembles.
The Teenage ensemble at Northcote will be accepting new members in Term 2. If you or someone you know are a dedicated and passionate theatre maker between the ages of 13 and 17 this is the perfect opportunity! Please call or email the office to have a chat with one of our staff and we will send you n application form.
Workshop Times: Thursday 4.30 6.30
Cost: $360 Plus membership

Membership:
All participants in St Martins programs must purchase a yearly membership. Cost :$60.

MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION COURSE
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction brings the principles of mindfulness meditation into everyday life by teaching specific skills and practices that can be incorporated into daily life to help break cycles of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion. Those who have taken this user-friendly course report feeling more engaged in their work and relationships, with fewer symptoms of stress and also an increased sense of authority in their lives. Join us in this inspiring eight week mindfulness training program which will help you to develop more mental, physical and psychological resilience. Health care card-holders and those experiencing financial hardship are welcome to contact us to discuss a discount or payment plan.
