Machination Theatre Presents "100"
"100" is a stunning play of five actors that combines traditional storytellling with physical/visual theatre. Armed with only bamboo sticks, five people are brought together in a limbo awaiting their final acceptance by Death.
"Imagine that you must choose one single memory from your life - everything else will be erased forever. That choosing this memory is your only way of passing through to eternity. That you have one hour to choose. Choose now from your whole life, from all you've ever done, felt or thought... what is the one thing you treasure most?"

The House of Bernarda Alba
Presented by Alterior Motive Theatre Company.

Sweltering amid the oppressive heat of rural Spain stands The House of Bernarda Alba. Within it's walls wait her five adult girls, locked inside and condemned by their tyrannical mother to 8 years of mourning over the death of their father.
But Bernarda is a prisoner too. A prisoner of her grief, her pride and her determination to maintain honour.
Outside in the distance, the men-folk work and sing and talk. Bernarda tries desperately to keep them at bay, but it is only a matter of time before tempers flare and the rope snaps...
Regarded by many as Lorca's best play, The House of Barnarda Alba is a powerful tale of passion and frustration.
With an entirely female cast Alterior Motive present a visually stunning and proudly Spanish representation of a true masterpiece.
