My brother came out after an episode of The L Word.
As the credits closed on Carmen going down on a leggy blonde in a nightclub, he said, 'Iím like that. I do that.'
My mother and I looked at each other, confused.
'Cunnilingis?' I offered, and laughed.
'No!' He said, standing up and rolling up his blanket. 'Gay. I do gay. Iím gay. I do gay sex.'

The Talk is a terribly undomesticated evening. Itís one account of what happens when you start talking about sex with your family: what Ďthe talkí is, and what it shouldnít be.

In Mish Grigorís latest participatory theatre work, the taboos of sex, relationships and family dynamics are laid bare: itís explicit and unapologetic, yet also tender and personal in its investigation into uncharted territory. Based on real conversations with Grigorís own family, The Talk is an awkwardly intimate and hilarious conversation with the artist about sex, sexuality and love. Bring your mum.

'It is funny, toe-curlingly frank, and immensely insightful' Lyn Gardner, The Guardian (UK)
